The Tesla Takedown movement started with one person protesting Elon Musk at their local Tesla dealership. It has now grown into a worldwide movement to bring attention to the actions of oligarchs such as Elon Musk, and how they use their wealth and influence not just to influence politics in the traditional way, but also to engage in blatant corruption and support hate.
Tesla Takedown is a decentralized movement. This allows local organizers flexibility in how they organize. However, as the movement grows, we have noticed there is no single site that collects everything one might need to know on relevant topics. The movement is very active on Bluesky, but not everyone has a Bluesky account. The Tesla Takedown website exists to centralize a list of protest locations and basic information about the movement. There is no single place on the web where one can find a collection of news stories, images, or even protest poster ideas. We aim to change that with this site.
While Elon Musk is wreaking havoc on the federal government in the United States, Canada is not immune. We have our own issues at home, including very wealthy tech bros who wish to copy Musk’s sledgehammer approach to government, DOGE. So, while we will certainly highlight news articles and the like regarding Elon Musk, we will also add content relevant to Canada and similar forces here.
